Education: I received my MA in Community Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2010.
Theory and Specialties: My work experience includes residential treatment center, partial hospitalization (PHP and IOP), unaccompanied minor shelter and child advocacy center. My supervision has encompassed trauma, play therapy, child and adolescents, adults, groups, and family counseling (EFFT). Some of the concerns frequently addressed include: self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma/PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, immigration, neurodivergence, gender dysphoria, grief and loss, and in general comorbidity in diagnosis. I specialize in working with Trauma, Child Therapy, and Mood Disorders. I am certified in TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy). In therapy practices, I utilize Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EFFT (Emotion Family Focused Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Existential and Self Compassion approaches.
