Biography

Memberships: Kate Walker Training 40 Hour Supervisor Course Graduate

Education: I earned my Social Work degree from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence based clinical practice, ethical decision making, and multicultural counseling. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations across a variety of clinical settings, which has strengthened my commitment to meeting clients and supervisees with empathy, authenticity, and respect.

Theory and Specialties: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My clinical approach is primarily grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices, EMDR, with an emphasis on creating a collaborative, supportive, and growth oriented therapeutic environment.

Supervision Info: Virtual supervision, Triadic supervision (two people attend and counts as individual), Group supervision, Opportunities to work and see clients in my private practice, Free supervision in exchange for seeing clients in my practice, Supervision times before 5:00 PM, Supervision times after 5:00 PM, Weekend supervision times

As a supervisor, I strive to foster a learning environment that balances support with professional challenge. I value curiosity, self reflection, clinical competence, and ongoing professional development. Supervisees can expect me to provide constructive feedback, encourage critical thinking, and support the development of their unique counseling style while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.

It is important for potential supervisees to know that I view supervision as a collaborative process. I believe growth occurs through openness, self awareness, and a willingness to engage in both strengths and areas for improvement. My goal is to help supervisees build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and develop into competent, ethical, and effective counselors who can serve their clients with excellence.
