Hey there! I’m Kelsey Schad a Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor and I’m SO excited for you as you take the next step towards licensure :)

I have worked with a variety of populations at psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment facilities. I currently own my private practice, Be Counseling located in Magnolia, Texas where my passion is rooted in trauma work and how attachment styles are impacted. As a result, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who finds significant value in understanding how we learn to love and how we integrate ourselves into various relationships by exploring childhood unmet needs, lack of praise, emotional neglect, and high achievement expectations.

My hope as a Supervisor is to hold the confidence for you until you’re ready to carry it yourself. It can be scary to step out of the classroom and into the intricacies of what being a human means. Together we will build the foundations while developing your identity as a therapist.

Membership: Texas Supervisor Coalition Group Member, Member of the Texas Counseling Association, Kate Walker Training 40 Hour Supervisor Course Graduate

Education: I received my Master's from Houston Christian University (HCU).

Theory and Specialties: I primarily specialize in trauma work while enjoying topics related to attachment, self-esteem, anxiety and depression.  I am trained in EMDR and incorporate concepts from IFS, Jungian, Person-Centered and Somatic Therapy.
