LMFT-S 201229Biography
Memberships: Austin AMFT, AATA
Education: I completed my MFT and Art Therapy program at Loyola Marymount University in 2007 and have been supervising as an LMFT-S since 2016.
Theory and Specialties: I currently work primarily with children and teens (and a few adults) in my private practice, specializing in depression, anxiety, and trauma. In addition to private practice, I provide workshops and online courses on art-based approaches to therapy and run the Creativity in Therapy blog. Before private practice, my practicum placements and agency employment included school-based services, residential/group home foster care, home-based services for youth on probation, community mental health, and inpatient art therapy groups. I also facilitated art therapy groups for the Rock Springs “Changes” PHP/IOP program, working with both adults and adolescents. My clinical approach is integrative, drawing on my knowledge and interests in cognitive behavior therapy, art therapy, play therapy, family systems, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care. For trauma therapy I am trained in TF-CBT and EMDR.
