Biography
Memberships: Texas Supervisor Coalition, Involved with Christian Counselors of Central Texas, Austin Chapter, Nutritional Therapy Association Alumni
Education: I completed an explorative counseling psychology program at Tarleton State University. For almost 10 years I’ve invested in training on techniques for crisis intervention, emotion regulation, psychiatric conditions and medication, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and movement, and nutrition to enhance mental health. The bulk of my education and training application has occurred at confined settings, such as a prison and inpatient treatment facility.
Theory and Specialties: I use a blended theory of CBT, psychoanalytic, and person centered approaches. My counseling specialties are relationships (not couples counseling), anxiety and stress, self-esteem, depression, new mothers, nutrition guidance, spirituality exploration (Christian), and navigating legal issues like probation and court mandated services.
Supervision Info: Weekly, I am flexible, Face to face supervision, Virtual supervision, Supervision times before 5:00 PM, Supervision times after 5:00 PM
