Biography

I attended UHCL – Family Therapy. I worked as a therapist at a children’s advocacy center for 8 years, where I also was the manager of the therapy department for 2 years. I have extensive experience in assessing and treating trauma in children, adolescents, and adults, particularly trauma resulting from sexual abuse, physical abuse, and interpersonal violence. I now work in private practice and work with a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and relationship issues. I also provide forensic mental health evaluations for immigration cases. I have training and experience in crisis intervention through my past volunteer work with The Crisis Hotline and my work at the children’s advocacy center. I also gained training and experience working with grief through my volunteer work with Bo’s Place.

My goal as a supervisor is to support you in finding your own therapeutic voice and gaining confidence in your skills, all while upholding the ethical standards of our profession.
