Dr. Elizabeth Kjellstrand Hartwig
Texas LPC #16535, Texas LMFT #202874Biography
I attended St. Mary’s University.
Being a supervisor is one of my favorite roles in my career. I love being a part of helping supervisees walk on the journey to becoming fully licensed. I utilize expressive modalities in supervision (e.g., expressive art, sand tray) and sometimes my therapy dog is a part of in-person supervision. I am also a professor at Texas State University in the Professional Counseling Program.
I do not supervise Practicum or Internship students in my practice. I have a small private practice that does not provide the number of clients that students would need for direct client contact. Just putting that out there, because I get a lot of requests for that.
Memberships: Texas Supervisor Training Group Member, Member of ACA, Association for Play Therapy, & Texas Association for Play Therapy
Supervision Modalities: Face to face supervision, Virtual supervision, Triadic supervision (two people attend and counts as individual), Group supervision, Monthly invoicing, Opportunities to work and see clients in your private practice, Free supervision in exchange for seeing clients in your practice, Supervision times before 5:00 PM
My Theory and Specialities: I theorize in solution-focused therapy and specialize in play therapy, animal-assisted counseling, and marriage and family therapy
Supervision Practice: Weekly, Twice each month (two-hour supervision)
