Q: Can I discuss a particular case I’m struggling with?
A: Yes. That’s what we are here for. The only rule is your case must be supervision related. The first three attendees will be heard by the group. After that we can hear more if there is time.
Q: If I don’t have a case to discuss can I just come to listen and learn?
A: Yes. We will discuss the latest rules, policies, and tools so there will be lots to hear.
Q: I don’t live in The Woodlands. Can I attend via webcam?
A: Yes. You can attend in person in The Woodlands, Texas in our meeting room (location changes so please make sure we have your email address). Virtual participation is via Zoom. Please make sure your equipment works before the group starts as we can’t spend a lot of time troubleshooting. Also, because we rent the room ahead of time based on registered participants, we can’t give refunds if you experience technological difficulties.
Q: I paid my $20 but I found out I can’t make it. Can I get a refund?
A: Maybe. We rent the space depending on our attendance numbers 14 days before the group meets. After that if you need to drop, we cannot allow refunds and we can’t hold funds for future meetings.
Q: Can I earn CEs for attending?
A: Yes. You will receive a PDF certificate documenting the two hours of “Supervision, Consultation, and Ethics.” These will count as live supervisor CEs even if you attend virtually.
Q: If I attend via webcam will they count as online or live CEs?
A: We consider all ‘real time’ courses live even if you attend via webcam.
Q: Can I attend for only part of the time?
A: In order to make sure everyone gets feedback it’s important that attendees stay the entire time. We can’t stop you from leaving, but we can only award CEs if you stay for the duration. Also, if you attend virtually you will need to be on camera to earn the CE certificate. Attendance by phone won’t count.
Q: Which licenses can gain CE credit?
A: Kate Walker Training is a continuing education provider in Texas. Always check with your licensing board before purchasing a course for CEUs.
The group will meet 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM Location TBA
