Q: If I finish this program, am I automatically a supervisor?
A: No. The Kate Walker Training Supervisor Courses only meet the education criteria set forth by the licensing boards. Upon completing this program, participants seeking the clinical supervisor credential must still meet the criteria mandated in their state regulations, apply, and pay all applicable fees. State licensing boards have ultimate jurisdiction.
Q: Is this course approved for the Minnesota 30 hour requirement?
A: Yes this course was approved March 2026:

The activity is approved for 30 continuing education clock hour(s).
This approval is effective until March 2027.
Your certificate will document 30 hours of NBCC-approved supervisor training meeting all Minnesota content standards.
Additional requirements include: 18 CEs Ethics, 30 CEs Supervision, 4 CEs Cultural Competency.
Other requirements for Minnesota LMFT include: Per Rule 5300.0160, applicants must have 4 years and 4,000 hours of post-licensure clinical practice.
Q: Can you guarantee that my certificate will be accepted by the licensing board and they will automatically give me my supervisor designation?
A: Remember the licensing boards have final say. If you are missing experience hours or you are trying to transfer from another state, the board may have additional requirements for you. Also the board may have additional requirements due to rule updates. So while we have never had one of our certificates denied by any board we are aware of, we cannot guarantee that the board will give you your supervisor designation.
Q: This course is online but do I ever get to talk to an instructor and ask questions?
A: Yes. We have a weekly Zoom/virtual study hall that our instructors and graders attend.

For this reason, participants are encouraged to complete their training within one year of purchase to ensure continuity with the current course content and requirements.
